Royse City Youth Sports Association

Welcome to Royse City Youth Sports Association

The Royse City Youth Sports Association (RCYSA) is a volunteer-based, non-profit youth sport organization that was founded in 2020. The sole purpose of the organization is to provide quality sports and recreation for the children who reside in Royse City and surrounding areas. We promote year-round sports programs and provide the organization and leadership necessary to carry on such programs in the best interest and to the advantage of all participants. Our programs are open to all players of all levels and experience.

We currently offer Baseball, Soccer, Softball, and Tee ball sports programs.

RCYSA also works in conjunction with the City of Royse City, and the Royse City Independent School District, to provide a clean and safe recreational environment for all participants and volunteers.

Pitch Count for 10U and above

  • Coaches MUST track pitches.
  • Coaches must confirm the pitch count with the umpire at the end of each inning and during a change of pitchers.
  • Umpires will maintain a pitch count form for all games.
  • The pitch count forms will be signed by BOTH coaches and the umpire following every game.
  • The GameChanger application is recommended for use as it tracks pitches automatically.
  • The maximum pitch count and required rest are both applied in reference to the count prior to starting their last batter (see table below).
  • Required Rest 10U 12U 14U

    35-45 40-50 45-55
    Two (2) Calendar Days 46-60 51-65 56-70
    Three (3) Calendar Days

  • Example: A 14U pitcher currently has 94 pitches combined between his first game and second game of the day. He is allowed to face one more batter for the day and then will be required to have three (3) days of rest.
